Job Description Summary

The MSEM Program Coordinator will work directly with Director of Educational Programming to plan and execute logistics and training associated with all needs and activities of Beacon Institute | Clarkson University’s Master of Science in Engineering Management (MSEM) hybrid online degree program. Six to eight weekends per year of travel to New York City are required.
Support for, and coordination with, faculty, students and alumni in the program will be a regular part of position responsibilities. The Coordinator will provide exceptional service by phone, email, and in person to those involved in the program. The position will focus on programmatic needs for the MSEM program in both Beacon and New York City, depending on student and staffing needs, and will involve educational facilities and resources upkeep at all Beacon Institute sites (at present the Gallery at 199 Main St. and CEIE at Denning’s Point).
MSEM is a hybrid online professional education program structured around six to eight Resident Weekends. Resident Weekends are held at the beginning of each semester. At present there are seven cohorts running in both Beacon and New York City over multiple consecutive weekends, which include multiple classes per cohort.
Beacon Institute | Clarkson University has a commitment to both professional education and environmental education. Organizational structure requires training across operational centers, and as such a good candidate must be able to relate to both.

Position Responsibilities

MSEM program support
• Plan and execute logistics to smoothly deliver MSEM graduate education programs both online and in person in NYC and Beacon, NY.
• Train and/or coordinate training for faculty and students in technologies and software associated with online instruction and Resident Weekend intensive classes.
• Deploy and maintain function of all technology to support delivery of online and in person educational modules.
• Manage and interface with students and faculty for MSEM resident weekends.
• Provide logistical and technical support as needed for both faculty and students.
• Arrange for resident weekend catering and hotel reservations for students and faculty.
• Maintain technology infrastructure at CEIE and Gallery spaces.
• Knowledge of the following programs is preferred:
o Adobe Connect
o MS Excel
o PeopleSoft
o Moodle

Other
• Work as a collaborative and positive team member, assisting others when required.
• Coverage of other Beacon Institute/Clarkson University programs as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in any field OR 6-8 years equivalent work experience.
3 years’ experience in educational context.

Experience in managing logistics, scheduling and office functions for educational programs

Physical Demands
