Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary

Essential Functions – Clinical Phase
• Works with Director of Clinical Education (DCE) to accomplish the mission
• Assists Program Chair and DCE in the organization, continuous and periodic review of the clinical phase of the program
• Monitors clinical rotation sites adequate for students’ clinically supervised training under the guidance and approval of the DCE, Program Chair, and Medical Director
• Regularly visits clinic rotation sites to ensure adequacy of the site for clinical training
• Provides guidance, training, and ongoing communication as needed for clinical preceptors
• Assists in the preparation of administrative reports as requested and assigned by DCE and Program Chair
• Is responsible for the coordination and scheduling of all clinical rotations, mid-term, and end-of-rotation assessments
• Serve as database administrator for E-Value, upload and manage all content. Maintain training with Advanced Informatics to ensure effective and efficient use of program Reviews for completeness and compliance of assessments of students by preceptors
• Reviews student reports of clinical sites
• With the DCE; is responsible for the development, administration, and reporting of mid-term, end-of-course and all other clinical assessments
• Provides security for all course and examination materials
• Maintains and coordinates the clinical rotation schedule
• Provides ongoing assessment and review of active clinical sites each semester
• Coordinates clinical course activity and schedules with the DCE
• Updates and maintains instruments for student and faculty course evaluations
• Assists in other duties as assigned by the DCE and Program Chair
• Attends all scheduled staff and faculty meetings
• Contributes to administrative duties of the department as directed

Essential Functions – Students
• Advises the DCE and Program Chair of any problems related to student behavior, clinical performance, or professionalism
• Member of appropriate departmental committees as assigned by Program Chair

• Exceptional organizational, communication, writing, and interpersonal skills;
• ability to work effectively with minimal supervision;
• ability to manage time well while working cooperatively with department personnel
• able to prioritize and work successfully when multiple demands are pressing

Qualifications –
Minimal qualifications:
• Associate’s degree in an administrative, sales, or health related discipline.
• 3 years’ experience in an office setting
• Proven ability to network and maintain relationships with external contacts

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience, and Skills

Preferred qualifications:
• Experience in higher education and/or health care field
• Experience in networking in a healthcare environment

Physical Demands
