Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary

The successful applicant will hold a Ph.D. and have postdoctoral experience in using model systems to investigate fundamental or applied questions focused on one or more of the following: medical microbiology, immunology, cell biology, gene editing or other areas of biomedical science. Teaching duties will include undergraduate and graduate courses in cell biology, medical microbiology and areas of the successful applicant’s expertise. The successful candidate will develop a strong, externally funded research program that complements our strengths in biotechnology, health sciences, and environmental biology. The Clarkson University Biology Program values excellent undergraduate teaching and innovative research involving undergraduates and graduate students in our Interdisciplinary Bioscience and Biotechnology doctoral program. We value collaboration among researchers; the successful candidate will be expected to develop research and teaching collaborations with Clarkson colleagues, including researchers affiliated with the Trudeau Institute or Institute for a Sustainable Environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualified candidates should possess a Ph.D. or appropriate terminal degree in the corresponding discipline.
